1. Vastu for door suggests that it is auspicious to have a north, west, or east-facing entrance. Moreover, it must be larger and more appealing than any other door in the house. This is important because a visually aesthetic entrance door invites good luck and prosperity.

2. To avoid negativity, you must avoid constructing doors and windows opening to the southwest or in the south direction. Windows and doors Vastu rules suggest negative energies flow into a house from the south direction.

Generally, the entrance door must be at least 7 ft long and 3 ft wide to attract positive power into the premises. If a house has a back entrance, it must not be used by the owner. Rather the housekeeper or domestic help should use it.

Another aspect of Vastu for doors requires people to avoid elements that bring shadow to the entrance gate. These include trees, plants, or other artificial objects.   • Crystal Tortoise: According to Vastu Shastra, a tortoise is known to bring fortune, prosperity, good health, success in education, and family bonding. Place this decorative piece in the northward direction of the living space, dining room or business area to bring wealth, success, and positivity.
  • Wind Chime: The soft, tinkling sound of the wind chime brings peace and happiness to the house. The crafted look of modern chimes increases the house’s aesthetic appeal. If you have a metallic wind chime, the north and west direction is the perfect spot for their placement. Contrastingly, place a wooden chime in the south and east direction.
  • Buddha’s Statue: One of the best decorative pieces for the entrance door is the statue of Buddha. It is known to attract positive energies and safeguard all family members from different forms of negativity.
